We respect your privacy and are committed to safeguarding your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we use and protect it when you use Nivara Challenge.

Information We Collect

  • Account data from WorkOS (name, email, avatar, GitHub username) to authenticate you.
  • Repository metadata and webhook events from GitHub that you authorize for scoring commits.
  • Commit diffs/metadata necessary to calculate and display impact scores.
  • Usage analytics and logs (non‑sensitive) to keep the service reliable and secure.

  • Process commits to compute scores and leaderboards.
  • Improve product quality, detect abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Communicate service updates and respond to support requests.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with infrastructure and authentication providers (e.g., hosting, databases, WorkOS) strictly to operate the service, and only under appropriate security and confidentiality obligations. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Data Retention

We retain data for as long as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting support; some records may be retained as required by law or for security and audit purposes.

We use industry‑standard safeguards to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we continuously improve our controls.
